Our Pre-school is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum from the UK. We have eight unique areas of development for a child and we want the best start in life for our students. The results have been amazing, and we would like to encourage you to come and visit us. Our curriculum is delivered in a tri-lingual environment (English, Myanmar and Chinese). We are a happy, caring and nurturing environment where all children feel valued and can develop into independent, confident individuals.
We are an inclusive Pre-school where every child is given opportunity to discover and develop through high quality play-based learning. Our team of passionate early years educators are motivated and trained with a strong mission to enable our children with the best start in life. We see parents as co-educators at this young age and want to include the parents in this important developmental phase.
Unique Trilingual approach
Along with the UK Early Years Learning Goals, we at KINGS International School also teach our Preschool pupils Mandarin and Burmese languages. Research conducted by linguists, psychologists, neurologists and neuroscientists have uncovered the plethora of advantages bestowed upon the multilingual child. According to research, between the ages of 0-3, the children’s brains are uniquely suited to learn another language as the brain is in its most flexible stage. In fact, languages exposed infants excelled in detecting a switch in language as early as 6 months old. They can learn other languages as easy as they learned to walk and learn their primary language. Ellen Bialystok, a psychologist at York University in Toronto, Canada, states: “The brain has a perfectly good system whose job it is to do just that — it’s the executive control system. It focuses attention on what’s important and ignores distraction. Therefore, for a bilingual, the executive control system is used in every sentence you utter. That’s what makes it strong.”
As part of a flexible curriculum, children will be encouraged to explore and develop at their own pace in activities based around each of these areas.

Our Forest School at KINGS International School is a unique way of teaching and offers ALL learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in the natural environment with trees.
